About Us
marie and david met through mail art. That is to say, a mutual friend encouraged each to send something to the other. (m & d were living hundreds of miles away from each other at the time). So Mr. Postman delivered marie's typewritten golden letter and david's collaged postcard (purposely split in two). Later, they met in person for the first time at the same friend's wedding. marie made the wedding dress and david was a groomsman. Their first collaboration was installing the wedding decorations. It was a great success. (david even made the twinkle lights flash "disco style" when the dance music played).
For a whole year they kept the Postal Service busy (and hopefully amused) by sending collages, drawings, postcards and decorated packages back and forth between Fort Wayne and Minneapolis. Finally, m & d decided to join forces and save postage. Now they share a little studio and collaborate on all sorts of projects including mail art to send to friends and family (and maybe even you).
